Liverpool is going head to head with Las Vegas in a battle of the fun runs. Today the ECHO is issuing a rallying cry to readers – help Liverpool keep its world record by signing up to take part. Last December 3,921 Santas donned their red suits and ran five kilometres earning the stunt a place in the Guinness Book of Records. In four months time the festive event, in aid of the ECHO’s Sunrise Fund, will take place again. But young pretender Las Vegas is getting in on the act with a Santa Dash of its own. Sin City is organising a similar event for mid December. So far the December 3 Santa Dash has had 353 entries and 56 for the mini dash.
