Official comment on the course and blue Santa suits is that I don’t encourage Blue suits (and I am a lifelong Blue)The event has nothing to do with football and it be red again this year I’m afraid.
The course has to take into account all other road users, businesses, churchgoers and residents. As such the course is reviewed and assessed by the Liverpool Highways Department and Merseysdie Police. Their views are taken into account and the 2008 course is considered by all to the best for all concerned. The use of the Strand and waterfront roads is out of the question.The 2009 course will be as 2008.

Its just a charitable event for those wishing to raise money for those less fortunate than themselves, not a display for football fans. Its a santa dash and santa wears red and white not blue nothing to do with footy. Wont wear red!!!! ho ho ho

Was dissapointed with this year’s event.

Obviously much easier to knock than to organise so this is not personal.

First of all the situation regarding non red santas. Who thought that one up? It caused problems on the day with less blue and green ones present this year and the ones who were present got a hard time. One old codger said this was not a football event and I should be disqualified. Well I will not wear red in any shape or form so what am I supposed to do?

When can we go back to the original route of 2 years ago much more enjoyable.

It is obvious something is amiss less people at today’s event so matter what the official line is than in previous years.
